TEXTILES AND FABRICS WITH UNIQUE MICROSCOPY PATTERNS FROM INSIDE PLANTS
ABOUT FLORA-L DESIGN
Flora-L Design creates linen home-, kitchen textiles and fabrics with unique microscopy patterns from inside plants. Flora-L designs textiles that spread fascination for botany in a scientific-artistic way. The Swedish company was founded by three creative plant scientists with a passion for plants, fabrics, design, and visual arts. We make patterns from plants collected in research labs, on a nature walk or in our homes. We cut thin slices from different parts of these plants, stain them with dyes in the lab and observe them under the microscope. From the microscope images we create one-of-a-kind Flora-L patterns that we print digitally on linen.
Flora-L Design inspires curiosity and fascination for plant biology. With every Flora-L pattern and product, you receive a beautiful and unique design to share. We hope to inspire you to look at the world around you with curiosity and appreciation for the intricate patterns made by nature.
